Art

It’s been so wonderful to have all the Grayling artists busy creating again in our Art room.

A big focus for this term, especially for our youngest artists is to refamiliarize themselves with the art room processes and rules – which they have done fantastically so far.

During Term 4 we will be learning about Indigenous artwork and stories with particular emphasis on the story of Bunjil (or Bundjil). This story connects us with the traditional owners of the land our school is on the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri peoples of the Kulin nation.

Our grade 6 students will also soon begin planning and creating a collaborative artwork to commemorate their final year at Primary school – look out for the grand unveiling coming soon!

Lastly, thank you for all the plastic soft drink bottles that have been donated so far. I am still collecting, so please drop them in the bin at reception.
