Principal Report

Been a busy few weeks at Grayling, with celebrations of Footy Day, Book Week and a few public holidays in there as well. Students have settled back into the routine and rigour of school, which I am very pleased with.

School Photo’s

Will be held on Friday the 13th of November. I am pleased to inform that with restrictions easing the tradition class photo’s will still take place and all photo’s will be taken outside. New forms will be delivered this week and sent home as soon as we receive them.

Traffic

Many parents have expressed concern about the school pick up traffic and the potential dangers, which I totally agree with as it is a concern of ours also.

Recently I have been in contact with the City of Casey around when we will receive better signage around ‘Stop and Go’ zones and a school crossing.

I am pleased to say that the council will be installing “Stop and Go’ signage in the coming month, however I still have not received a rough timeline for the school crossing. I will continue to work with our council to push this through and will inform you of any changes as they occur.

Please take the time to read the attached documents provided by the council around safe practices with school drop off and pick up and also the locations of the new Stop and Go signs.
