From the Primary School

Next Friday our current Reception to Year 5 boys will be moving in to their classes for next year. The Orientation Morning goes from 9 to 11.30 am and our boys will be joined by the new boys and meet their new teachers and classmates for 2020. Teachers have tried to accommodate for the academic and social needs of all the boys in the selection of classes.

Our 2020 Reception boys have had several transition visits and will not be required for the Orientation Morning.

The classroom teaching staff for 2020 will be as follows:

Reception S – Kendall Schenck

Year 1 – New Teacher (yet to be appointed)

Year 2A – Trent Allwood

Year 3C– Oliver Carroll

Year 4H – Claire Holland

Year 5LW – Steph La Forgia / Jo West

Year 5/6V – Henry Vo

Year 6 N – John Niedzwiecki

The recent End of Year St Albert’s Mass was a resounding success in terms of attendance from Primary School families in particular. The service was meaningful and involvement and participation was great. Thank you to Matt Crisanti for his organisation and Fr William and Fr Kevin for concelebrating the Mass.

As I write this our Year 6 boys are heading to the river (Wellington) for their Father/Son Camp accompanied by their teachers, Mr Vo and Mr Leonard along with Fr William. They will be joined by their fathers on Saturday morning. We wish them all the best for an enjoyable camp.

Our end of year Carols and Awards Night and Year 6 Graduation will occur on Wednesday 4 December starting at 6 pm sharp in the Neill Gymnasium. It should conclude at 7.30 pm at the very latest and will be a celebration of the year gone past with some Christmas cheer. All boys are expected to attend. The Year 6 families have organised a celebration in Frassati Hall afterwards to commemorate their sons end of their Primary Schooling.

Only two more hectic weeks to go!

Mr Frank Ali

Head of Primary
