SENIOR SCHOOL UPDATE

Year 12

On Tuesday 21st november we said farewell to the class of 2017 at the Valedictory Dinner held at Merrimu Receptions.

The evening began with a welcome speech delivered by our Principal, Mr Aaron Smith. Each student was presented with a momento from the College and a graduation certificate signed by Julian Hill MP, Federal Member for Bruce. As each student came forward, a photo of the student when in year 7 was contrasted with their photo from this year. Some students had changed dramatically, while others had hardly changed at all!

The College Captains, Zoe Callanan and Andrew Cloosterman refected on their time at Wheelers Hill Secondary College and then joined College Vice-Captain Stephanie Nestor and Aaron Smith to cut the Valedictory cake.

With the formal part of the evening over, students, their families and friends, along with the staff present moved onto the dance floor, accompanied by music from the trio, South Side Soul.  A good time was had by all.

I would like to thank everyone who was involved in the organisation and presentation of the evening. 

A  special thanks must go to our Year 12 students for what has been an extraordinary year. We thank them also for the contributions they have made to the College during their time here, and we wish them all the very best for their future endeavours, whatever they may be.

YEAR 11

This week, year 11 students have been completing their Transition Program, getting a headstart with their Unit 3 studies. Tomorrow, Friday 24th November, is their last day of classes, however all year 11 students are required to enrol into year 12 on the VCE Enrolment Day that is to be held on Friday 1st December.

Year 10

This week, year 10 students have been completing their end of semester exams. They then move into their Transition Program which starts on Friday 24th and finishes on Thursday 30th November. All year 10 students will then need to enrol as VCE Year 11 students on the VCE Enrolment Day also.

VCE Enrolment Day

Friday 1st December is VCE Enrolment Day. All current year 10 and year 11 students are required to attend on the day to enrol or re-enrol as VCE students. Payment of fees, subject levies and any other costs can be completed on this day also.

                Surnames  beginning L to Z - 12.30pm until 3.00pm
