Principals Team Report
Welcome to 2023 - "Achieving Excellence Together."
We are delighted to welcome our students and families back onto school grounds as we begin the 2023 school year and a warm welcome to the new families joining our RPPS community and to our new Prep families.
We hope that you and your children enjoyed a fun, safe and relaxing holiday break in what was incredible weather. Our entire team is excited to be back with our students ready for another year of learning opportunities.
This week has been full of moments of pride for our students. A highlight was joining our students and parents at our first school assembly and seeing the amazing job our student leaders did having to quickly adapt the presentation to an online assembly. What resilience and co-operation they have shown! Incredibly proud of the leadership they demonstrated.
We have many exciting, existing and new, events coming up this year and we encourage all our families to sign up to Sentral to keep up to date on all things Roxburgh Park.
School Council nominations have been advertised via Sentral for our 2023 Council team. Council is a formal governing body that works together towards school improvement.
School Council is held once a month online via Microsoft Teams. In 2023, School Council will run on a Wednesday night at 5.30 p.m.
I would like to thank our Councilors whose terms are ending for their contribution to the school: Kim Khalifa, Funda Aksan, Nariman Elmir, Adrian Hanson and Libbi Posar.
If you are interested in nominating for council and would like to talk more about the role, please touch base or pick up a nomination form from the office.

Child safety and wellbeing: information for families and the school community
The Victorian Government has announced new Child Safe Standards to further strengthen child safety across organisations, including schools. The new standards recognise the critical importance of families and the broader school community in maintaining and promoting child safety and wellbeing.
We have reviewed and updated our child safety policies and procedures to ensure they meet the requirements of the new standards. These are available to view on our school website.
We are committed to continuous improvement in our approach to child safety and wellbeing and welcome feedback from families and members of our school community on ways we can further strengthen our child safety policies, procedures and practices.
If you have any suggestions, comments or questions, please contact the school Principal team directly: principal@roxurghparkps.vic.edu.au or by contacting the office.
A final thank you to all parents and families who have connected with staff across the week. We look forward to your partnership across 2023. Feel free to call the school or email to connect with the principal team directly: principal@roxurghparkps.vic.edu.au.
