Prep 'Where is the Green sheep' scavenger hunt !

Last Friday Prep J had to solve the mystery of the missing Green sheep. After solving many clues that lead us to special places in the school marked with different coloured sheep, we finally found the green sheep- it was hiding in Prep J all along !!

Welcome Year 1/2 2023

What a successful start the students in Year 1/2 have had. It was so lovely to see the students return with such happy faces! The students were very settled and got back into the school routines very quickly which was great to see. We have enjoyed hearing about their holiday adventures and watching them interact with their peers and friends; so many squeals of excitement when they all saw each other. We look forward to a wonderful year with all the students in Year 1/2.

First Assembly of 2023!

Congratulations to all the students who received an award at our assembly. We also wish all those students who have had a birthday since the beginning of the year. We also welcomed our new Prep students who have enjoyed time to get to know their buddies.

Welcome to 3/4WS

The students have all settled in very well to 3/4WS. Mrs Sposato and Mrs Witchell have been so impressed with all the students. Everyone was so excited to get back into the school routine and see their friends. We welcome Aria and Alastair to our class and to our school. We are lucky to have them be part of our community.

These photos show us using games as part of our Maths learning with place value: expanded notation.

We look forward to a happy, successful and learning year.

Welcome back to 3/4M 2023!

3/4M hopes everyone had a fantastic break over the holidays!

We are all very excited to be back at school and we are looking forward to the year ahead and all the fun things planned (camp, excursions, Reconciliation, Holy Communion and more!) This week we have started learning about Narrative Writing, Place Value, Identity, and Prayer. Here are a few snaps from our learning throughout the week:

TREEHOUSE

The Treehouse room is a calm space that has been created to provide multi-sensory activities, resources and support to enable our students to focus and engage in learning.

Our learning support staff and teachers use this space to help our students calm, reflect and develop strategies enabling them to focus on their wellbeing first, in order to be in the best headspace for learning.

Students are actively supervised and engage in specific learning goals and strategies to assist them in re-engagement back to the classroom. Students are in the treehouse room for a scheduled amount of time which enables them to use the space in the most effective way.

The space is also used to run our social groups. These are run by our school Counsellor and Wellbeing leader who works with small groups focusing on the specific needs of the students in consultation with the classroom teacher.
