Meet our Student leaders

Over the next few weeks you will be introduced to all of our Student Leaders for 2023.

Starting this week with our School Captains, Vice Captains, Yr 12 Leaders, Communication Leaders and our Student Voice Representatives.

Vice Captains

Hi there! 

My name is Gemma and I'm one of Staughton's 2023 School Vice Captains! 

I share this role together with Nella Simpson

For my final year, I aim to highlight the positive education systems we have in place at school while simultaneously prioritising the welfare of students through their own input and opinions. The power of a Leadership role for me is to be the bridge between staff and students in order to create a strong foundation to build upon for learning and engagement across all year levels. 

 Year12 Student Leaders 

Hi everyone, we are the year 12 student leaders of Staughton College. We are very happy to be able to organise all the exciting events coming up this year including retreat, celebration day, graduation and hopefully many more. We understand that this year is going to be a stressful one and as student leaders we want to do our best to help create a school environment which is fun and memorable. We would love to have your suggestions to make year 12 your best experience of high school! 

Communication Leaders 

Hello, our names are Kaiden, Argene, Helaena, Alysha and Yabets. We are the communication team. We help promote, document and take videos/photos of many of the fun events here at Staughton College; both big and small.

From carefully curating relevant information into lovely and vibrant posters that catch the attention of both students and wider audiences alike. The posters are then put up around the school, posted to socials (facebook & instagram), which gains hype and attention surrounding all events. 

We also love to help out the other student leaders with their projects in a way where the scope of the event can be increased; with tools like greenscreens, video cameras, microphones, tripods, GoPros, drones, the quality of our content for the school really shows.

We really want to show that Staughton is the place to be and that it’s really fun to get involved with the school in any way possible. 

Student Voice Representatives 

Your student voice representatives for 2023 are Leah Pollock, Nina Siraj, Tiffany Nguyen and Nella Simpson. We hope to create a fun and welcoming environment in our school community. We have lots planned surrounding increased engagement in school activities such as sports and cultural events, as well as to improve attendance. If anyone has any suggestions please don’t ever be scared to talk to us. We are open to anything!
