Student Wellbeing

Wellbeing Week

We all learn and thrive best when we feel safe, connected and have a sense of belonging. This first week at St. Mary's is 'Wellbeing Week' across all classes, with a focus on building relationships (including reconnecting with old friends and making new ones) and establishing routines and expectations in a way that provides a sense of ownership for the students. The following elements have been the key components of Wellbeing Week this week and will continue to be a focus in weekly Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons across the school: building relationships; personal strengths, appropriate use of technology and child safety.

ICT User Agreements

This week, students have been reading and discussing Student ICT Agreements, that provide guidelines and expectations about the safe and appropriate use of technology at school. These agreements also extend to the way students interact with each other online. Students have also been engaging in activities about Cybersafety.  Parents will have also received a copy of the ICT Agreement for families via Operoo. We ask that you discuss the agreements with your child at home.
