CRICKET VICTORIA - SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMS

Inner South East Metro region we are running 2x School Holiday Programs throughout January with the Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades. Please click on attachments below for more information.

 

**Any participant that signs up to a Holiday Program prior to December 10, 2018 will receive a Family Fun Pass including 4x General Admission passes to a Melbourne Stars or Melbourne Renegades home match.

Learn about project management, leadership, grant writing and more, then run a community project. Community groups are encouraged to apply.

SWIMMING LESSONS

If your child is ready to start swim lessons ore needs a change, there are places available for 2019 at the Jan Grutzner Swim School, located at the warm, clean, private pool at Epworth Hospital, (on-site parking available).

GIRLS DO JAZZ 2019 - VCA SHORT COURSE

The Girls Do Jazz short course studio program was created in 2018 to adjust a gender imbalance within the jazz and music industry. Due to its huge premier success we are delighted to be bringing Girls Do Jazz back in it's sophomore year for 2019 - with enrolments open now!

Want to be inspired, get more involved in the world of jazz and improvised music, foster relationships with emerging and established musicians, engage with a likeminded creative community and develop your musical skills and career path through informal performances, rehearsals and discussions?

YOUTH JAZZ ENSEMBLE - VCA

Do you have existing musical ability?  Are you interested in jazz and improvisation?  Join VCA's Youth Jazz Ensemble Studio and take your musical creativity to the next level.  

Located in the arts precinct at Southbank, this part-time year-long program for young adults will help you enhance your musical knowledge and understanding alongside ensemble, improvisation and performance skills. Each weekly session includes a Fundamentals of Improvised Music class followed by a practical Small Ensemble session.

Gain practical experience through guided performance practice and an end-of-year public performance, learn from professional musicians and educators, collaborate with like-minded musos and have fun.

HOW TO APPLY

Saturdays: 10am - 1pm

23 February– 26 October  2019

(excludes breaks and public holidays)

Prior musical ability is required, as this course is designed for those who would like to develop their skills and ideas further.  

Perfect for those intending to audition for tertiary courses in future.

This course is suitable for 15 – 20 year olds.

Places are limited.

COLLINGWOOD TOY LIBRARY

The Collingwood toy library is a community-owned resource for families in the City of Yarra and surrounding areas, operated on a non-profit basis and managed by a committee of volunteer members who are elected annually.

We are getting in touch with local schools in the area to promote our activities and resources for school-age children.

We have recently added a large collection of  board games for school-aged children and more games in foreign languages including Chinese, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Spanish and Vietnamese. We also have a board games club and holiday activities, as well as other family-friendly community events throughout the year.
