Asylum Seekers

A huge contribution of 305 items will be given to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre! Thank you to the Fairhills community for such a great effort!!!

The ASRC is a non-profit organisation based in Footscray, which provides assistance with food, shelter, education, and legal advice to recently-arrived refugees who receive little if any assistance from the state or federal governments. Because of this, it relies solely on the generosity of Australians like yourselves to help people who have fled war and persecution.

Saving Lake Knox

Well done Hunter (Year 7) on your campaign to save endangered species and local habitats around the Knox area. Hunter has spoken to Nick Wakeling MP, the Mayor of Knox and KES Knox Environment Society & written to the Minister for Planning, Housing & Multicultural Affairs about his concerns.
