MGC Solar Panel Project

Donate to our solar fund to help MGC become Carbon neutral!

Melbourne Girls’ College is committed to becoming carbon neutral. So far, we’ve installed two interactive solar arrays that generate approximately 10% of the school’s energy use, expanded our pedal generators to include rowing power and built a microhyrdro powerplant.

We need your help to reach our ultimate goal! We are asking families, businesses or small cooperatives to donate money to increase our solar capacity and reduce our reliance on grid electricity.

The MGC School council is contributing significantly to our solar pledge and with the community’s help, we just might reach our carbon neutral goal without the need for carbon offsets.

We are asking families, businesses, or small cooperatives to band together and donate towards new solar panels to add to our existing array and help us reach our carbon neutral goal. Your contribution not only fuels the electricity that runs the tools in our students’ classrooms, it is literally improving their future. All donations are tax deductible, so please retain your receipts. $5, $20, $1000 and more ... all contributions are welcome!

For more info on how you and your family can get involved visit our Trybooking page.
