Harmony Day

On the 21st of March, last term, Girton Community Action Group celebrated Harmony Day with a Multicultural lunch in the Wattle Street Courtyard. Harmony Day is an International Day that is held each year and promotes harmony, calling for the elimination of racial discrimination. This year was the 20th anniversary of Harmony Day.

At lunch time there were opportunities for staff and students to purchase a variety of foods from all different cultures, as well as drinks. The GCAG team provided crepes, nachos, butter chicken and a good old Aussie BBQ as well! The day was a smashing success and enjoyed by all.

Within 1 hour we sold out of most foods! We raised $661 which was donated to The Royal Children Hospital Good Friday Appeal. Thank you everyone for supporting this day and we look forward to bringing you a bigger and better celebration in 2020!
