School Council Message

A few thoughts

Towards the end of Term 3, I had the privilege of attending both the Year 5 Concert and Year 6 Exhibition.

With the concert, I must say I had never watched High School Musical before (which shows my age!) but it was such an amazing performance! A big congratulations and thank you to the Year 5 students and Performing Arts teachers for such a wonderful display of acting, commitment, and entertainment.

The Year 6 exhibition was also another highlight, and was a true representation of the growth of our students since Prep. From within our homes and classrooms throughout the years, the Year 6 students demonstrated many skills around their inquiry. Beyond the subject matter, it takes a lot to organise, work together, and present the information in such an engaging manner. And very importantly, it showed the compassion in their hearts to share their projects.

I was so impressed and I really encourage parents to experience these events - it's incredible to see the work and dedication from the students, as well as the teachers and parents who support and uplift them to new levels.

On another note, I'm aware that things aren't always perfect within our community and there are issues to be resolved at times, as with other aspects in life.

Please, I ask the entire community to come together and let's work things through together. There's always something we can all do to make a a little difference.

We may all be on different paths, but we all share the same core desire - a brighter future for our children.

Thank you, and till next time.
