Uniforms
Uniform orders are filled on Mondays.
Completed order forms need to be at the school by Friday in order to be returned to your child by Monday.
Size 4 uniforms are available in all items of clothing.
Lunch Orders
Lunch orders are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Please try to have the correct money.
Order forms are available from the office.
School Banking
School banking day is Tuesday. Bank books will be collected and returned the next day. New application forms are available from the office. Please make sure all deposit forms are completed (as shown below).
JAPANESE WORD OF THE FORTNIGHT
だいじょうぶ (pronounced ‘daijohbu’) which means ‘alright’ is the Japanese Word for Week 8 & 9 of Term 4. You can say ‘だいじょうぶ’ (‘daijohbu’) to someone who is not feeling well or hurt instead of saying ‘Are you alright?’. As an answer, you can also say ‘だいじょうぶ (‘daijohbu’)’ to mean ‘I’m alright’.

An iTOUCH watch has been found on the school grounds.
Screen It Awards - Grade 6 Finalists
Last Friday the 29th of November some lucky grade 6 students travelled by train into the city to attend ACMI's 'Screen It' Awards. The Screen It competition is Australia's largest film, animation and game-making competition for school-aged students. All of the grade 6 students had submitted a film, and we were lucky enough to discover on the day that one of our films had in fact become a finalist in the national competition. Congratulations to Ella Freedman, Cameron Armstrong, Kersia Zhu, Ashley Lu and Andrew Jang for their film 'The Brink of Bobstinction'. We look forward to seeing more of your talents shine on the silver screen in the years to come.

JANUARY HOLIDAY PROGRAM
The January 2020 Holiday Program is now available to Valkstone Primary School families.
Bookings open up to non-Valkstone Primary School families today.
2020 Registration forms must also be completed at this time and bookings will not be accepted without this.
CURRICULUM DAY
(Student Free Day)
Tuesday 28th January
Booking forms are now available from the school office and OSHC.
Booking for both Holiday Program and Curriculum Day will close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday 13th December.
Late bookings cannot be accepted.
Summer Interschool Sport Report
Congratulations to our hot shots tennis team, T-ball team and Circleball team on winning their Grand Finals on Friday at the Moorabbin District Summer Sport Grand Finals.
The Tennis team beat East Bentleigh 50 - 78. The Circleball team won 47 - 16 and the T-ball team won 13 - 10. Congratulations! We are very proud of your efforts over the course of the year, in particular your skills, team work and overall good sportsmanship! Well done!
