Leigh Hobbs – Mr Chicken All Over Australia
In September last year the celebrated author Leigh Hobbs visited Rangeview and ran a writing session for students in Levels 1,2 & 3. He showed a draft copy of the cover of his new book ‘Mr Chicken All Over Australia’ Mr Hobbs then asked if any Rangeview students would like to submit letters to him for potential inclusion into his new book. Many of our Rangeview students submitted letters for consideration and it is extremely exciting to report that four of our students Archie Peters, Thomas Cullen, Ben Harrop and Molly Wong were all successful in having their letters to Mr Chicken accepted for publication. Congratulations to all four students!
The book will be published in October and the students will receive their own copy curtesy of Mr Hobbs. The school will purchase copies for our Library.
Natalie Powell – Rangeview Social Worker
Hi, my name is Natalie Powell and I am very excited to start in the new role of Social Worker at Rangeview Primary School. I live with my husband and our two children, my daughter aged 13 and son aged 11. We have a big friendly dog and some backyard chooks. I enjoy getting outdoors bike-riding or bushwalking. I also love curling up on the couch with a good book or doing some baking. I have felt very welcomed by the students and staff at Rangeview since I arrived and I look forward to meeting more of you and becoming part of your great community.
