EDEC Athletics

What a wonderful day was had by all yesterday at the annual EDEC Athletics Event, conducted at Cockatoo Little Athletics Track! 

I was so proud of all of our students, who competed with wonderful sportsmanship and enthusiasm throughout the day.  

Many students achieved fantastic personal results, which enables them to progress through to Division Athletics later in the year.  

A special mention to: 

Jason Abraham - 1st Boys Championships sprint event

Jacinta Purdham - 2nd Girls Championship sprint event

Alexis Wilson - 3rd Open Girls 1500m event.

MCPS finished in 2nd place overall on the day, narrowly missing out to Selby PS in winning the annual Rotary Shield Award - an outstanding achievement!  Thank you to all teachers and parents who attended and encouraged on the day!
