Education Perfect Science Championships

During Science Week, students from Years 5-10 competed again this year in the Education Perfect Science Championships.

Students were encouraged to complete Science activities through the Education Perfect platform in order to gain points. In total, our students gained 25,157 points.

At the conclusion of the week-long competition, our College was placed 110th out of 2,012 schools globally; 70th in Australia (out of 1,488 schools) and 33rd in NSW (out of 434 schools).

Congratulations to all the students who participated, but in particular to Ethan Li (Yr 9) for being ranked 66th overall and gaining 10,263 points and an Elite Award. Well done also to the 3 students who gained a Bronze Award - Aiden Kiem (Yr 7), Benjamin Fogale (Yr 6) and Reilly Bois (Yr 7).

From the Visual Arts Department

Congratulations to Ewan Murphy of Year 9 who received a Highly Commended Award in this year’s St.Art Photography Competition. The competition asked for inspiring imagery during COVID and received 270 entries.

His photograph “Sunset at Jubilee Park” features fellow student Jack Perosin making spectacular use of his off-screen time. The landing was successful and so too the shot, which enhances the jump from its low angle. The sunset-backed silhouette adds to the drama of fitting in one more jump before it gets too dark and time to go home for dinner. Well done Ewan and Jack!
