ReCharge Day

On Wednesday the 18th of August, students from all year levels of our school participated in Recharge Day activities. The day was designed for students to get away from their computers, to reconnect and recharge their batteries. Every year level had a specifically designed program to best suit the needs of that cohort.

For year 7-9 students, they were given a grid of challenges and activities that they may not have ever done before. Each activity had points designated to it that students could collect. The class with the most points at the end of the day will be recognised when we return to school.

The year 10 cohort had a mix of revision activities, independent work and a study skills session from Elevate Education.

Year 11s were set independent tasks to complete until recess by their teachers. They then had the option to continue private study for the rest of the day or to switch off from their computers and spend time with their family.

Our Year 12’s continued their classes as usual, however Discovery and their period three classes switched in order for all official classes on Wednesday to be finished by Recess, allowing our year 12s the much needed chance for study time or catch up time.

Thanks to every staff member in our school community for helping the day run, and to all students for taking on these challenges and sending through some amazing bits of evidence to show their work.
