P to the E with Leigh

This term has been challenging for families as we all manage our lives disrupted by the lockdown of our school and communities. I would like to say a big thank you to all the students for all the hard work in completing the physical education activities and challenges. I have been working on building activities that are quick and easy to replicate in your homes.
The foundation children have been recording and uploading lessons with their families and it’s been fantastic to see the children happy and engaged with their families in the backyards and parks in your neighbourhoods. The 1/2s have also completed a series of challenges as we work towards building their confidence and skills throughout the lockdown. The 3/4s through google classroom have been working on recording activities that focus on hand eye coordination and using the resources within their home environments.
The 5/6 children have missed so many of the activities organised through the district and it is hoped that we can still run some of those in the last term. The P.E teachers across the district are working really hard on rescheduling and making for some the final year of the primary schooling an enjoyable time.
Lastly thank you to all the parents, carers who work behind the scenes filming and recording their children’s work and helping their children to engage with online learning this year.
I look forward to creating engaging activities for the children as we look at widening the activities to include health and wellbeing.
Again thank you everyone through a interrupted and difficult time at T.P.S.
Leigh.
