A message from Megan

Kii

I would like to start by thanking everyone for your ongoing support while I am in the role of Acting Principal.

As you are aware Leon is taking extended leave and we pass on our well wishes to him and his family.  We are still in communication each week and he is continuing to help the school and provide information that we need to lead the school.

Online Assembly 2.45pm

Emma and I are enjoying seeing over 150 members of our community join us each week at our new online assemblies.   It is one of the most joyful times of our week!  We would like to thank all the teachers and students who have contributed to our assembly.

Staff, Student and Community Feedback

We are in the process of reading and organising all of the data from our community about how TPS is delivering flexible and remote learning in Term Three.  As a school we continually seek to improve our practice and meet the learning needs of our students.   We will use the feedback to ensure that we adjust and improve our online teaching practices.    Thank you to you all for participating in the survey.

Parent Payment Policy

Currently in the news there are articles relating to changes to the Parent Payment Policy for the Department of Education.  Juanita and I have completed the training and are working closely with School Council to ensure that we communicate with clarity the about the voluntary curriculum contributions and extra curricular activities for 2022.   We hope that regardless of the changes all families know that contributions to the school to provide resources for learning are greatly appreciated and essential for supporting all children to have the learning resources they require to learn.

We take every opportunity to apply for grants to support the maintenance of our school.   We are currently in the process of applying for the current round of Shade Sail grants to repair the shade over the Foundation - Year Two playground.

Dressing UP is Fun!

To ensure that there is joy and we have funny memories during our remote learning time, our creative community are embracing a number of dress up days.    Thank you to everyone who has participated in our Hero, Book Week, Wear it Purple and Camp PJ days.   We look forward to our footy colours and dress up party theme for the last two Thursdays.

End of Term and Planning Week

As our Term Three is in the final weeks we would like to THANK all of the families and our children for continuing your very best efforts engaging in learning from home.   Next week our teachers meet in teams to plan for Term Four learning.  Each team will have a planning day allocated next week and will work together "online".   During this day there will be learning provided by the Specialists and a Google Meet will be provided by a Specialist or by Leadership.
