Beetlemania is in the air!

After a false start, the excitement is building once again!  Next Friday 13th August our Middle School students will be on the big stage for their production - Beetlemania!

Four beetles’ dream is to play rock and roll.  In this wonderful (all fact based) story of “Beetlemania'' we follow the story of John, Paul, Ringo & George from their hometown to the fame of The Beetles.

From Liverpool Cavern, to the recording studio, to the hottest group on the radio and television; the four beetles become the most popular band around.

Their fame leads them to playing for the Queen Bee and on the Ed Sullivan Show.

From India to making movies, our awesome foursome are living the dream.

But is fame all its cracked up to be?  The dreaded fame bug spray and bug zapper soon show the Beetles that fame comes at a price, which causes them to return to Liverpool to their hometown for their final performance on a rooftop; leaving the audience wanting more.

If you love the music of the Beatles- you will love “Beetlemania”.

Regarding ticketing and parent/carer attendance:

  • At this stage we are unsure of the venue capacity and density limits.
  • Keeping in mind we now have just one evening show, not two, it is hoped that Tuesday’s State Government announcements will allow for a capacity that caters for our 196 Middle School families (including considerations for split families).
  • Tickets purchased prior to Lockdown 5 are being refunded this week.
  • We will keep you updated as soon as we have guidance from both the State Government and the venue, Yarra Valley Grammar.

Regardless, all going well, the show will go on!

Masks, traffic and more!

A reminder that State Government COVID-19 restrictions require all non-student members of the public to wear face masks at all times (unless medically exempt).

*Please take care on the roads.  With the recent wet weather I have observed drivers not following the signed traffic directions;  moreover, driving in an unsafe fashion.

*With the increase in device use over the past 18months comes the ability to instantly connect with others.  Please promote positive habits with your children relative to messaging and connections to their peers.

Thank you for your support on these important safety issues.

Parent/Carer/Guardian Opinion Survey

A reminder that our school is currently seeking feedback via The Department of Education and Training’s annual Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey.

The survey only takes 20 minutes to complete and can be accessed on desktop computers, laptops, tablets, or smartphones.

Please head to the pinned post on Compass for access instructions.
