Wonderful Wednesday

Indigenous Literacy Day

This Wednesday 1st September we have our Parent Teacher Learning Conferences.  Our teachers will be busy talking to parents about their children's learning so we are offering an alternate program for students that day.

On Wednesday it is Literacy Indigenous Day. To celebrate we will start our day with a welcome to country and prayer and have a mixture of specialist lessons with a focus on indigenous literacy, as well as other activities for you to engage with. Below is a description of each activity:

Specialists: Music, LOTE & Visual Arts - take a look at Indigenous culture and stories through our specialist areas.

Yoga: Join Frank live as he walks you through a mindfulness and yoga session that connects you to the earth.

Escape Room: Take a trip into our out-of-this-world escape room and try to help our two characters Screech and Squelch get through their school day.

Challenge Activity: Students can choose between two challenge activities allowing them to create a machine and/or get their creative writing on and entering a writing competition!

*Specialists and Mrs Stefanec (Escape room) will be live on a help desk should you need assistance with the activity.  Each year levels day will be posted on their class google pages/seesaw. Timetable below!
