Our 2017 Year 7 cohort have certainly hit the ground running! Students have been eager to embrace their new life at secondary school and happy to seek help from teachers, coordinators and other students if needed.  They can all be congratulated on how well they have started out!

It has taken little time for them to get to know their new environment, and now they are finding their way around the campus easily. Learning classroom routines, getting to know their teachers and peers, organising lockers, books and resources - all this goes along with the expectation that they will focus on their learning and complete tasks during and outside school hours.  It is a big transition,  however the cohort has made an admirable and successful effort to settle in as well as to support each other along the way.

As these photos show,  Year 7 classrooms are busy and interactive spaces where students feel comfortable and supported. They are also enjoying the opportunity to move out of the classrooms and into the grounds for PE and recreation.

I am really enjoying Humanities classes and have found the other students and staff to be really accommodating and helpful.  I am settling in well!

It has been a great start to the year,  we hare doing subjects that we didn't do in Primary School and it is interesting.  I really enjoyed Performing Arts Day and I like the friends I have made.
