As always, it ws an incredibly busy start to the year as we organised for the Microsoft Surface Pro4 devices to be distributed as quickly as possible the Year 7 students.

Imaging individual devices is a very labour intensive process , however there have been over 120 devices imaged and connected to the school network in the past month. We are now working on giving access to BYOD devices to the network and printing systems.

The IT staff at BSC do a fantastic job of getting the devices ready for students, and we commend them on moving through this process as smoothly and quickly as possible.

It has been exciting to walk around to the different classes and see the students using their devices to enhance their learning. While there have been some minor issues with passwords and logging onto the Office 365 program, these matters are quickly addressed as soon as they are brought to the attention of our friendly IT team. Students are enjoying the benefits of using their devices in class and at home witht he Microsoft Surface Pro4 proving to be a perfect match tothe BSC network.

Just a reminder to all students,

  • if you do not have a cover on your device we strongly encourage you to purchase one. These will protect the device in classes and travelling to and from school.
  • students have also been encouraged to engrave or put a label on their pen so this will stop any confusion if a pen is picked up by someone else accidently
