Greensborough College Bus Services

TERM 3 BUS FEES ARE NOW DUE
Greensborough College have students travelling from a broad geographical base and have several buses available to transport students to-and-from school. Students are collected from their designated bus stop each morning and returned to their designated bus stop in the afternoon.
If you have not travelled on our bus services before you will need to complete an Application to Travel on the College Bus.
All students, including casual travellers intending to use the College Bus Service in 2017 are required to complete an Application for Permission to Travel. One Application per family may be submitted providing that all students attend Greensborough College. Fare paying passengers must complete the Application for Permission to Travel once a year and pay the appropriate term fare in advance of travel. Once the full term fare has been receipted a bus pass will be issued, this will now occur on a term-by-term basis. We also require families to complete the With Compliment Slip attached to the Application.
Eligibility for Free Travel – Students must attend their closest government school or school of their denomination and reside more than 4.8km from their closest school to be eligible for free travel. Please refer to the School Bus Program pamphlet for further information.
Both the Application to Travel for Fare paying students and the Application for Eligibility for Free Travel can be located on Compass. Please follow the pathway to download the appropriate documentation:
- Select the Community Menu (located under the symbol of two people)
- Select the School Document Folder
- Select the Resource Folder
- Select the Bus – 2017 Folder
- Open the appropriate Application for Permission to Travel
Fare paying travellers must provide a term payment in advance; however, ongoing travel is subject to spare seat capacity and fare payment. Fares for bus travel on Bus 1 & 2 are capped by DET/PTV at $120 per term.
A set payment of $120 is to be paid to the College; once the payment has been receipted, it is forwarded onto DET as Buses 1 & 2 are provided by DET. Our Bus 3 fare for 2017 has increased to $180 per term and the Shuttle Bus will also incur a fare of $10 per term. Again, these services require payment in advance on a term-by-term basis.
Parents of students that don’t have a valid term bus pass will need to make alternative travel arrangements.
