Transport around the College

In response to a request for extra buses, the PTV is trialling a fourth bus that leaves the College for Springvale at the end of the school day. Students are asked to make use of this service and to ensure that they tap on with their MYKI card. If the numbers indicate a need, this fourth Springvale bus will become a permanent fixture and will alleviate the overcrowding issues that have occurred over the past months. It will mean a safer, more reliable mode of transport for our students.

In maintaining a safe environment for our students, the College again requests that parents refrain from using Kernot Ave to pick up their sons. I am astounded at the ‘courage’ of some parents who negotiate a three-point turn in front of an articulated bus that contains more than seventy passengers. These actions only cause traffic delays and do put our students, your sons, at risk.

Students should be picked up in Monash Drive, in the car park of the Monash Community Centre, over the bridge in Brandon Park Drive and the side streets around the school. If your son is ill or has an injury then parents are more than welcome to pick them up in front of the school.

Thank you for your cooperation.
