The Lion Library

Artist Merindah Funnell visit

On Tuesday 18 May our Aboriginal Studies students and our Earth and Environmental Studies students were given the opportunity to yarn with artist Merindah Funnell.

Merindah is a proud Wiradjuri artist, a freelance illustrator, who also works at the MCA as an artist educator in the National Centre for Creative Learning. The students explored the endless possibilities of using art to educate and connect to country.

Together they brainstormed ideas for a mural and garden bed outside the library. This is the beginning of an exciting cross curricular project and journey for our school community.
