Language learning in practise

On the 7th of June the year nine Chinese class went on an excursion to a Chinese restaurant called Ping’s dumplings. It was a great chance to practice our Chinese language skills in a real life environment. In class we had been practising different food groups and restaurant etiquette so that we could order lunch in Chinese. It was a great experience and the food was delicious. It was a great learning experience and we all gained a lot of knowledge about Chinese cuisine.

Year 9 Chinese
On Thursday 7th June, the Yr. 9 Chinese class went on an excursion to “Yi Ding Hao” or Ping’s Dumpling Kitchen to practise our language skills when it comes to ordering food in Chinese. We worked in small groups to order dishes in Chinese. In the classes before our excursion, we practised how to say different dishes and how to properly order our food. It was a great experience both language-wise and food-wise, and the whole class had a lot of fun.
