Supporting research

During semester one, library staff conducted library and research user education sessions.   Year 7 & 8 students were shown how to effectively search the library Webpac (catalogue), locate fiction and non-fiction books on the shelves, and how to sign in to their library record to use self-service function like renewing books, placing reserves, submitting an online book review and checking their loan history. 

The middle and senior students attended sessions for extended investigation, or subject specific research skills to locate targeted, quality information using databases and websites for their assignments. 

A reminder to all students we have extended loans for holiday reading, if you borrow or renew books this week they will be extended until the 23 July.
