Progress Reports

The College recently published the Week 4 Progress Reports on Compass to give a snapshot of how students are operating in their classes. This snapshot covered Learning Behaviours aligned with the college’s CARE Values of Community, Achievement, Respect and Engagement. If you have not yet had a moment to open this Report, please make some time over the next few days to do so with your student.

Mid Term Check-ins

Students have just completed a learning ‘check in’ via a Formative Assessment that is now visible in Compass. This is another way parents and carers can determine how students are coping with the new learning in classes and if course work is being completed.

Student Led Conferences

In Week 9 of this term the College will again hold Student Led Conferences to share the learning and outcomes of all students. This is an opportunity for families to speak to teachers about the learning journey in classes, the gains and the areas for development or focus – to support development towards Achievement Standards for the end of Semester Two.

Student Led Conferences will be conducted on:

Date: Thursday 7th September, 2023

Time: 12.00pm - 4.30pm and 5.00pm - 7.00pm

Location: Online via Teams - 10 min sessions

Bookings via Compass: Week 7 – 21st August

SLCs will be a Student Free Day.

Thank you to all of those who responded to the most recent survey relating to Student Led Conferences. Based on this feedback, these events will revert back to face to face, onsite conferences from 2024. This term will be the last conference held virtually. At this time, our capital works project will be completed, and the event will be held within our new buildings.

Please look out for our upcoming Term 3 Survey, as we are seeking further input and feedback around the length, structure, and outcomes of the conferences themselves. Input and sharing would be greatly appreciated.
