Principal's News

Hello to all families,

Attendance Matters! It is as simple as that.

It is with no surprise that we start to see the general attendance rate dip during the middle of the year. We can come up with many reasons and explanations for this for example: sickness, extra holidays and ultimately reluctance to attend.

For whatever reason we need to acknowledge that we all hold some responsibility if our students/children are not at school. The school and families have signed an agreement that we embark in a relationship by which staff, parents and students engage in all aspects of our children's schooling lives. We agree to work collaboratively to make the focus on developing success for all students through any means of support. Without students being at school it is very difficult to focus on their learning and prioritise, their success.

I encourage all staff, parents and students to keep this focus as we work through difficult times. We are here to support all families in any way possible so please keep in contact with your classroom teacher, support staff and office staff.

Well done to a few star students on their amazing attendance rate at 90% or more.

Isabel, Willow, Eva, Merrick and Hunter.

Thanks

Mathew Mills
