Library News

Howdy all 😊

Funny how thoughts float around your head over a period of time then, boom, threads are pulled together to make sense of all the rambling brain farts (well, in my brain anyway!).

The library’s had a lot of new books come in recently (see pics below) and each new delivery comes with a little glow that settles in my heart. I have said in the past, and it bears repeating, we are so lucky to not only have a beautiful, dedicated library space, we are also incredibly fortunate to have a community that supports the library so consistently. Many local state primary schools aren’t as ‘lucky’ as we are.

With this awareness, I read an article in The Age last Saturday ( The Age article ), detailing how Victorian state school libraries are terribly understaffed and under resourced and I was again struck by how fortunate we are, and have been over many years, to have a school leadership team that has always supported and encouraged growth in the library.

I delight in watching the library grow, change to accommodate student needs, advocate for reading and books and provide a safe, inclusive space for ALL our students.

So, thank you. CNPS is so much richer for the love and support our library receives from you all.
