YEAR 10 EXCURSION

On Monday 17th July students from Year 10 made their way into GTAC (Gene Technology Access Centre).

They were introduced to a variety of techniques used in the isolation and amplification of DNA as part of the Citizen’s Science Project. Students were working to identify the types of parasites infecting kangaroo species.

It was a fantastic day run by the GTAC mentors and all students enjoyed the opportunity to participate in some hands-on science, as well as the chance for a future mention in a scientific publication!

Well done to all our future scientists!
