Student and Community Learning and Wellbeing

This week Heathmont East Pre School visited HEPS. Level 5YS worked with the students on a Literacy activity in the classroom and then supported them outside and explored the Foundation playground. This was a wonderful way for our Level 5 students to show their leadership skills in preparation to be Grade 6/Foundation buddies in 2024. We look forward to Heathmont East Pre School visiting us again this term.

ICAS assessment dates at HEPS for 2023 are -

Monday the 14th of August - English

Monday the 28th of August - Numeracy

Students participating in ICAS assessments will be withdrawn from class in year levels. They will sit their test and then return to their class. Results from this assessment will be delivered to the school and you will notified of these when they arrive.

ILPs ADVANCED SEMINAR (A follow up to the Introductory Session)

Thursday 23rd August, 07:30 PM – 09:00 PM (ONLINE)Kathy Harrison will discuss ILP/IEps, what they are and how you can be involved in developing one for your child, summarising information in the previous seminar (for those who have attended before). New information on how to evaluate an ILP and adjust it using a Response to Intervention approach will be presented along with some sample templates.There will be plenty of time for discussion too.
