Year 5/6—Celebrating Learning

5/6 Mainstream

This we have gardening with Aviva. We are exploring soil and its importance within our food chains. We are discussing what is in soil and the different components that make up soil such as sand, silt and clay.

We looked at the artwork”beautiful decay” which represents the living and non living components of soil.

We are caring for our food garden by tending to the compost and giving the plants much needed water.

5/6S - Steiner

We welcomed 2021 in our classroom by re-visiting our TPS Deadly Values, to help students feel connected and safe. For our Deadly Value of ‘Working Together’ 5/6S worked in teams to build the tallest structure they could out of a piece of cardboard.
