School Council

2020 School Council 

I would like to acknowledge the tremendous work and support that the 2020 School Council has given during one of the toughest years.  School Council could not meet in person but still managed to meet and achieve a lot of things this year.

In particular I would like say a special thank you to the executive team of School Council.  

• Renee Wierzbicki as President.
• Lucy Paplinska as Vice President
• Matthais Lanz as Treasurer.

This team lead the Council through each meeting and worked through matters of policies during lockdown as well as keeping an eye on the school finances. Other members of the 2020 School Council were:

2021 School Council Election Process 

We have commenced the process of elections for the 2021 School Council.  Every school must follow the Department of Education guidelines regarding School Council elections.

The timeline for the elections are:

Nominations 

• Friday Feb 26th call for nominations
• Friday March 5th (4pm)  nominations close for School Council elections

Elections

• Tuesday March 9th – School Council elections open
• Tuesday March 23rd (4pm) School Council elections close

2021 Council begins 

• Friday March 26th   Announcement of the 2021 School Council
• Tuesday March. 30th  Handover meeting 2020-2021 School Councils

For these elections there are:

• 3x parent member category positions
• 1x school member category

Parents and staff can nominate themselves or someone else. An official nomination form must be completed.  Forms will be available at the office and sent to each family via compass.  Signed forms may be submitted via email to the school.
