T.I.M.E (Music)

The 2021 T.I.M.E. program has started really well and we are planning another exciting T.I.M.E. year! We are currently creatively problem solving how we can give our T.I.M.E. students performance opportunities in 2021.

Phil McLeod in Blue Grassy Knoll at Fed Square
Blue Grassy Knoll is doing a free concert at Fed square on Friday 5th March.
It is a sound track to 2 Buster Keaton films. It is great for kids, because we are all playing acoustic instruments, but in a really fun, often non classical way.

Performing Arts / Music
In term one we have been focusing on two areas of our learning, not only performing/creating. In one area of our learning we are extending the deadly days to our first five lessons, learning about respect for one another, working together, perseverance, integrity and trust. Using our school values as a springboard we have been completing tasks that help us unpack these values for what they are, and why they are important.
While getting in tune with our deadly behaviours the junior school have begun singing simple tunes, acting out characters and things from these songs, and learning about our simple tones to eventually work on our own melodies. In the senior half of the school students have been learning about the building blocks of composition, practising our music writing skills to better enhance our music reading skills.
The students have been enjoying the new friendships from their classes and the foundation students love the room, atmosphere, and the ability to have fun while learning at school.
