STUDENT ID CARDS

Most students should now have their student ID cards. I would like to encourage all students to bring their cards with them when they visit the library. The student cards are helpful to library staff when we are issuing loans and the cards also make printing easier and quicker.

OVERDUE NOTICES

Overdue notices are sent out regularly. Please check your email. Don’t forget you can renew online if the book is not overdue.

MYSTERIES

‘Mystery and suspense’ is proving a popular genre this year. After a number of requests for book recommendations we created a library display to feature the newest and most popular mystery and suspense fiction titles. If you enjoy suspenseful storytelling and plot twists and trying to solve the mystery before the protagonist this is the genre for you. Mystery and suspense fiction is usually action packed and fast paced.

In the US The Mystery Writers of America announce The Edgars each year. Named after Edgar Allan Poe, The Edgars honour the best writers in mystery fiction. Of particular interest is the best young adult category.

The library’s collection of mystery and suspense stories can be browsed from the Genre menu option on the library catalogue.
