PFA Update

Kirsten Brooks, PFA President

Welcome to Term 3. What a delight it has been to see Junior School students going on camp and parents and cohorts catching up on Zoom. It has also been heartwarming to see our Year 11 and 12s turn their disappointment of a cancelled Formal into getting together online dressed in their formal attire, and attending classes and spending an evening together.

PFA and CSRs will plan our events to go ahead this term and we’ll be advised, as health notices change, about what we can run. Join in when you can, especially since it is uncertain of when the next event might be.

Signups can be found here and CSRs will be in touch with your cohort information.

Farewell to Deb Duce

It is with sadness and joy that we farewell Deb Duce in her role as Community Relations Officer. You are welcome to attend the next PFA meeting on 10 August to congratulate her.  I have worked with Deb for nearly nine years. Her humour, warmth and poise will be missed enormously at our meetings, events and in all the daily support behind the scenes.

So much of what we do as parent volunteers, the opportunities we offer others, the support and kindness we share, has been developed with Deb alongside us. Deb, we wish you all the very best, and you will be greatly missed by our community, especially by our parent community.
