EISM Weekly Sport success

The Years 8 and 9 Term 2 season was one of the School’s most successful EISM seasons. The high participation rate of our afterschool training sessions has been a huge contributing factor. Four Premierships, two runners-up and many competitive teams finished between 3rd and 6th on the ladder.

YEARS 8 AND 9 TERM 2 GRAND FINALS

Girls Football - Premiers, No Grand Final

The team went through the season undefeated and finished the term on top of the ladder. Unfortunately, we were unable to reschedule a final with Kingswood College (2nd place), which meant that the Premiership was shared. Nevertheless, this is Kilvington’s first female football trophy!

Boys Table Tennis A - Premiers, No Grand Final

Very similar outcome as the Girls Football team. They were clearly the best team of the Division and finished the term undefeated and on top.

We were unable to play a Grand Final (Kingswood would have been our opponents), so the Premiership was shared. Well done to the boys on a great effort.

Boys Table Tennis B - Premiers, Grand Final 15 July

The team was second on the ladder coming into the Grand Final against Knox. Kilvington won the match 7-2 and took home the trophy. What a fantastic achievement! Caleb Mendez was awarded the MVP.

Boys Volleyball A - Premiers, Grand Final 15 July

Both Kilvington and Bialik went through the term without a loss. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, they were unable to play in the scheduled round of matches. The Grand Final was always going to be close. Bialik got off to a great start, and quickly got out to a 2 sets to 0 lead.

Kilvington didn’t give up and got the match level at 2 sets all. An exciting final deciding set saw Kilvington victorious, 15-13. The team did a great job. Torin Hatswell was awarded MVP. This was Kilvington’s first-ever boys volleyball trophy!

Boys Indoor Cricket - Runners Up, Grand Final 15 July

The team had a terrific season and only really came up against one strong opposition, Huntingtower. A close home and away loss gave the boys some hope going into the Grand Final but our opposition was too good in the end.

Girls Table Tennis B  - Runners Up, Grand Finals 15 July

The girls had a very solid season and did extremely well to finish second and earn the opportunity to play off in a Grand Final. Huntingtower played very well, yet our team should be very proud to have won the runners up pennant.
