End of the Year and Stocktake

The end of the 2020 school year is here. The library has completed the end of year stocktake. During Stocktake we found some books which were not returned properly. These have now been returned from those students. There are, however, still many books out on loan. We really want these books to come back before the long summer holiday break. We would really appreciate if you find any books, that you drop them in at school next week.

There are some books that students tell me are lost or missing. Can you please help your children do a big hunt for any books that might still be at home somewhere? School holidays can be a great time for things turning up which we couldn’t find during the year. Please contact Mrs Baker if there are any problems with items which are lost.

The Battle by Andrew Plant and Jump by Ashling Kwok

Our stories for library lessons this week have been about being in new situations and about taking a chance or a risk. Students in Years 1 and 2 talked about what makes us feel nervous or scared and what we notice our bodies doing when we get scared. They coloured in a shield with things that make them feel brave. Students in Year 3 to Year 6 have looked at words related to bullying and encouraging, with a group competition to see which table group could come up with the most words.
