Japanese

Year 8 has had a very creative semester in Japanese. Students put so much effort into their Food assessment task at the end of Term 3, which saw them make sample food models out of plasticine. This term, students made “pets” for a class contest and are currently working on Japanese Folktales.  These will be performed in Week 9 of term.

Year 9 has been studying Japanese traditional dress and present day fashion designers.  They are learning how to complete Sashiko embroidery and are stitching various patterns onto an eco bag.

Year 10 had great fun learning about J-Pop music this term, culminating in a team lip syncing music video of SMAP’s “The Only Flower in the World”.
