Music

This term, Year 7 Music engaged in performing songs based on the 4 Chord Song and chord progression. They performed a whole class arrangement including a mash-up of melodies which led to a small group arrangement for vocals and ukulele, guitar and drum kit. Students performed these for the class and showcased their skills developed over the semester. 

Year 8 Music class learning which was based on Rock Music, culminated in a Rock Music MTV Interview where students created an interactive Video or Podcast based on an artist or band which was researched, scripted and included a live performance. Students enjoyed researching a historical music live tour, analysing a song and acting in character as an interviewer or artist/band member.  

Year 9, 10 and 11 Music students have been preparing songs to perform at the upcoming lunchtime Live and Loud concert which will showcase music from Elective Music classes. Students have enjoyed performing at Live and Loud for an audience of peers and staff members this year and we look forward to more performances from our talented Music students in 2021. We wish Year 11 Music all the best as they begin their HSC Music 1 Course this term.
