Drama

The Junior Drama Ensemble have continued developing their drama and performance skills through sessions combining skills development, games, improvisation and short scene work. We look forward to welcoming some new students in 2021.

Year 10 students spent the first half of this term focusing on Realism and Stanislavski techniques. They performed monologues for their assessment and are finishing the year looking at scripted drama and short film work.

Year 11 students have made the transition to their HSC year and have studied the Approaches to Acting unit this term. With a focus on Jerzy Grotowski and Jacques Lecoq, students have participated in practical workshops and devised their own original  performances. Work has been primarily movement based and also involved an introduction to the Neutral Mask and Basel masks.
