CHILD STUDIES CULTURAL DIVERSITY EXCURSION
On Monday 30 November Year 9 and 10 Child Studies classes went on an excursion to discover the cultural diversity in Wagga.
Students attended the Wetlands and toured around the area with Mr Jason Jolley as their guide. They discovered the artwork, the shelters, Corroboree area and wildlife in the lagoons and along the Murrumbidgee.
They learnt about the sacred and healing spaces and ventured to the centers around Wagga that support the Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander community. Students then went to Wagga Beach for lunch and had the opportunity to see the scarred trees.
The day finished at Apex Park at another scarred tree and a mediation from Dadirri.
Thank you to Mr Jolley, Mrs Priest and Mrs Baggio for organising the day.
