Artes Escénicas (Performing Arts)

Bienvenidos a Artes Escénicas (Performing Arts)

This year, Performing Arts will be delivered in Spanish ... how exciting!

We have started with doing Drama this term and will be looking and exploring plays in Spanish. The older students will be creating their own plays.

F/1

What an exciting F/1 cohort do we have this year! They are all so enthusiastic and keen on participating in Artes Escénicas (Performing Arts). We had so much fun learning about traditional plays and focused on Los tres cerditos y el lobo feroz. We all watched a video of the play in español and sequenced the events in order. We then selected our own characters and began to talk through each scene in español. ¡Muy bien a todos! :)

2/3

We focused on Juan y el frijol mágico. We explained that this will be linking to their Inquiry topics this term, 'How to be a caring citizen'. We all watched a video of the play in español and sequenced the events in order. We then selected our own characters and began to talk through and act out each scene in español. ¡Excelente a todos! :)

4/5/6

How exciting to see so much creativity and energy in our Artes Escénicas (Performing Arts) classes! We had so much fun learning about the justice system and courts in español. We watched a short clip from Judge Judy to see the process and how it all works in small claims courts. We explained that this will be linking to their Inquiry topics this term, 'How to be a caring and active citizen'. We then watched a Spanish court case show called Casos cerradoswhere they were able to see how the process is similar in español. We then got into small grupos (groups) and began to plan and act out our court case plays. ¡Fantástico comienzo a todos!
