Unit LF 

The Foundies in Unit LF are having an incredible time being back at school for Term 2. During our daily Guided Play sessions in the mornings, we have been developing our communication social-emotional skills. The resources that are available during play are dependent on the interests of our class, often involving activities that promote collaboration and problem solving. 

This week we introduced a tinkering table and a writing table. The writing table has taken off! We have a mail box where children can deliver the letters they are writing for people, we empty it daily to see who has mail. We are going through stationary very fast! If you happen to have any spare writing paper or envelopes laying around that you do not want, we would love to have them. 

Call out for play resources

To ensure that we can continue to provide engaging environments, we need some help collecting more resources. If you have any of the following things at home that you no longer want and would like to donate, please drop them off with one of the Foundie teachers (Larissa, Cath and Faith), or at the office and they will pass them on. 

• Any craft materials
• Stationary (writing paper and envelopes)
• Picture books (good quality)
• Smooth wood offcuts
• Marble run
• Wooden blocks or building things.
• Wool
• Toy cars
• Lego (we know this one is a long shot!)
• Old work uniforms or medical equipment (such as fire, ambulance, stethoscopes etc.)
• If there is anything else you have that is fun, please check with us to see if it could be of use.
