Deaf Children Australia Art Competition - "Heroes and Leaders"

This Art Competition is open to deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) young people of three age categories:

  • 8-11 years
  • 12-17 years
  • 18-23 years

Submissions  close on the 22nd of January 2023, and young artists can win up to $1000.

The theme invites young creatives to explore what makes a hero or leader and express it through their art of choice.

All entries will be featured in the “Heroes and Leaders” exhibition. This will provide young DHH artists the opportunity for their work to be showcased and potentially sold – providing exposure and industry experience for students. This provides them with real world opportunities to build art industry skills. The event will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend.

To help students price their art, some tips are attached.
