FRENCH

Your child may be coming home singing to a familiar tune. You may like to have a go too! Learn the new French song with your child at home. It is called, 

'On Vous Souhaite Un Joyeux Noel'.It is the French version and follows the same tune as, We Wish You A Merry Christmas! 

FRENCH DAY!

Brighton Primary School was a sea of blue, white and red on Thursday 27th October, celebrating French Day! Students were entertained all day! The start of the day was enjoyed by an adorable Prep French performance, singing, Bonjour Mes Amies, Les Nombres and Frère Jacque. Cendrillon (Cinderella) puppet show was very French! The students connected with the characters and the familiar language used from the classroom to the show. They met, Isidore Le Singe, Le Prince Baltahazar, La Bonne Fée, Madame Dragon, Perle La fille de Madame Dragon and Cendrillon. The highlight of the day was the escargot eating competition and the pain au chocolat eating competition. The crowd around these two events are always BIG! 

Thank you to all for supporting such a great cultural event at BPS.  You made it special by participating, dressed-up and being a little French for the day. The students were happy in the French patriotic colours and the laughter and singing was heard all day. There were smiles by all while eating their glace (ice cream). Oh and some students were lucky to have a dance with les madames!
