Principal's message

Dear MGSC community

The exam period kicked off on Wednesday morning bright and early. The VCE students appeared to be well prepared with the right amount of energy. It has been a long journey for the Year 12 students this year and very different to the last two years where most of the lessons were delivered online. I thank the dedicated teachers and the VCE Sub-School Team for supporting them this year.

We are now thinking forward to 2023 and the Headstart Program that commences on the 21 November this year. For those families that haven’t experienced our Headstart Program before, every student is promoted up to the next year level and experiences taking their 2023 subjects.

The Student Leadership Positions have been advertised and we will commence the selection process next week. It is always terrific to hear the thoughts and ideas of our future leaders during this time.

The year 12 students' last day on campus was Friday 14 October with the traditional celebration assembly led by the students full of fun and laughter.

The VCE Business Management Market Day was also held on the Thursday and the students raised funds for a charity of their choice. I also had the delight of being one of the judges of the Year 7 Shark Tank presentations. I was extremely impressed by the amount of work that they put into the research and development of their projects.  I thank all of the teachers involved in these activities.

Friday 28 October is World Teachers' day and I thank all our teaching staff for their ongoing commitment and dedication especially in these final, busy weeks of the school year. Hats off to you!

Best wishes
